The Springfield Markets, held at various locations throughout the month, offer a unique shopping experience with a wide array of bespoke gifts, clothes, candles, jewellery, toys, plants, and more.

Springfield markets Director Vicki Martin has been running these markets for over a decade and they have become a cherished community event.

The markets take place on the first Sunday of each month at Robelle Domain from 8am to 1pm, the second Saturday at Ripley from 3pm to 8pm, and the third Sunday at Orion Shopping Centre from 9am to 4pm.

“Running Robelle Domain has been a journey of my heart because I love Springfield,” she said.

“I grew up in Camira, and I love the parkland. It’s the best venue in southeast Queensland.”

With over 80 stalls, including food trucks and a variety of local vendors, the Springfield Markets focus on supporting small businesses.

“My focus is supporting the mom and dad operators, and those that want to do a side hustle. It’s about connection with the community,” Vicki said.

The markets have significantly impacted local vendors, some of whom have transitioned from side hustles to full-time market businesses.

“You cannot help but fall in love with each of your stallholders,” she said.

“Every single person has a story, and we pride ourselves on wanting to do the best by them.”

These markets are more than just a shopping destination; they are a testament to the power of community and local commerce.

“The day I don’t get excited about my stallholders is the day I throw in my towel,” she said.

“I want people to start choosing an experience close to home and realise we have hidden little great spots here.”
