Established in 2008, Springfield Brumbies Basketball Club has grown over the past 15 years to become the largest basketball club in the Ipswich region.
Our club is run by a committee of parent volunteers with a goal of providing a solid basketball program for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 to enjoy this wonderful sport of basketball while promoting a healthy lifestyle by being involved in team sports.
At Brumbies, we offer training and skills development from beginner to elite players.
In fact, a number of former players have gone on to represent themselves, their family, and their basketball community in representative regional, state, and national teams.
We are proud that some of our coaches are current and former Brumbies junior players.
They are committed to giving back to their club community by teaching and developing our next generation of stars.
One of these is current NBL1 player Mitchell Poulain, who was one of the foundation members of Springfield Brumbies.
Along with the Casaquite Family, Mitchell is being recognised for his commitment to his sport and community by having a court named in his honour at the new Silver Jubilee Park sporting precinct.
Silver Jubilee Park officially opens on April 22.
We encourage our parents, siblings, and caregivers to get involved with our club and their kids’ teams by helping out with coaching, managing, scoring, or fundraising where needed.
Volunteers are the backbone of our club and we promote active participation from all our members to help grow and strengthen our club for the benefit and enjoyment of all.
