The Greater Springfield Gamers united the gaming community at their annual SpringCon event, held on September 28 at Goodna State School.

The event drew over 600 attendees, offering a fun-filled day of tabletop gaming while supporting the local charity, Goodna Street Life.

SpringCon 2024 welcomed gamers of all ages, interests, and experience levels to explore miniature, board, and roleplaying games.

Attendees had the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, discover new games, and engage in meaningful conversations.

In addition to celebrating gaming culture, the event also encouraged participants to support Goodna Street Life’s community pantry by donating non-perishable groceries.

The gaming lineup featured a range of popular games, from miniature games like Infinity, Bolt Action, and Kings of War to beloved board games by Delta Phase Games and independent designers.

Roleplaying games were also a major highlight, with sessions ranging from Dungeons & Dragons campaigns such as The Odyssey and Wizard Quest, to thrilling narratives in Call of Cthulhu and the quirky Honey Heist.

The Greater Springfield Gamers extended a special thanks to the volunteers who helped set up and pack down the venue, ensuring everything was ready for Goodna State School students to return on Monday.

“SpringCon, you were pretty amazing,” they said.

“A huge thank you to everyone who came along, in whatever form.”
