For more than 40 years, Probus Clubs in Queensland have been enriching the lives of retired and semi-retired seniors with social activities, regular guest speaker presentations,
travel opportunities, monthly outings, all mixed with some plain old-fashioned fun and friendship.
Probus Clubs are simple in their structure and are non-political, non-secular, not-for-profit and non-fundraising associations with the simple goal of having fun in retirement.
The mantra of Probus is to provide Fun, Friendship and Fellowship, with over 130 Probus Clubs in Queensland and new ones opening regularly.
The Goodna–Springfield Probus Club aims to have one event each week that members can attend, starting with the clubs general meeting on the first Wednesday of each month.
They also regularly have a morning tea or lunch at a coffee house or pub somewhere in the local district.
Then finally, they travel to various places for picnics and other fun excursions.
The Goodna–Springfield Probus Club would like to invite any retired or semi-retired senior that is keen to become part of Probus to join an active club of fun and fellowship – remembering that the more you put into the club, the more you will get out of it.
So get the most out of your retirement and find your local Probus Club. Contact membership director Imre at 0439 447 246 if you would like to know more.
