Santa Photos

The jolly man in red is back for your family Santa photo experience! Capture your magical Christmas moment in Santa’s Cottage, with pet-friendly sessions available – as well as ‘Sensitive Sessions’ for families with children who have special sensory needs.

Letters to Santa

It’s time for your little ones to put their imaginations to paper, crafting heartfelt wishes and dreams destined for the North Pole! Drop off your children’s precious letters to the Santa’s Mail Box located in the Target Mall. In return, they will receive a personalised reply from none other than Santa Claus himself! (Don’t forget to leave your address so Santa can reply.)

Date & Time: Until Thursday, December 14 at 5pm.

Price: Free.

Twilight Markets

Enjoy extra shopping options with Christmas Twilight Markets filled with food, music, family entertainment, and much more.

Date: Friday, December 22, from 9am to midnight.

Location: Main Street, Springfield Central.


The Nutcracker Ballet

The enchanted Christmas tradition of the Nutcracker Ballet returns to Orion. Pack your picnic basket and blanket and settle in for carols, story-telling with Mrs Claus, and ballet – with choreography and pre-professional dancers from the Queensland National Ballet – showcasing the traditional Nutcracker Christmas Eve story.

Date & Time: Saturday, December 23 from 3:30pm to 8pm – with shows beginning at 3:30pm and 6pm.

Price: Free.

Location: Main Street, near Fountain Place.

Daniel Bouwmeester

Daniel was born in a mining town in New South Wales to Dutch and Welsh immigrants, before relocating to Logan City, where he attended Canterbury College for twelve years. He pursued his passion for music by completing a first-class honours degree at the University of Queensland (UQ), and later signed with a local record label. He has travelled the world from a young age, including a student exchange in rural France, a job working the ski lifts in Colorado, and visits to the islands of the South Pacific. After a six-year career in market research, Daniel returned to UQ to complete a Bachelor of Journalism and Arts dual degree, majoring in political science. His varied experiences at home and abroad have contributed to a passion for spreading good news while defending the truth buried inside complex societal paradigms.
