The Greater Springfield community came together in remarkable numbers to honour the spirit of ANZAC Day on April 25.

The annual Dawn Service, held at the Springfield Central War Memorial in the Robelle Domain Parklands, commenced at 5:30 am and marked one of the largest and most memorable services in recent years.

The Dawn Service was organised and hosted by the Greater Springfield RSL Sub Branch, with The Last Post performed by Springfield local Pastor Phil Cutcliffe OAM.

Volunteers from The Rotary Club of Greater Springfield, Hest Paramedical, and Springfield Central State School were pivotal to the event’s execution.

St Augustine College’s new media resources further enhanced the service, showcasing the community’s ability to innovate and improve the experience year after year.

Following the dawn service, the Orion Hotel offered a special ANZAC Day breakfast from 6 am and two-up from 12pm.
