The exciting Space Family Fun Day, will take place on Sunday, August 11 from 10am to 2pm in Springfield.
Held during the University of Southern Queensland’s Open Days, these events are designed to spark curiosity and wonder in space enthusiasts of all ages.
The activities are set to engage both young minds and adults alike, making science and space exploration accessible and thrilling for the whole family.
Highlights of the Space Family Fun Days include:
- Rocket Launching: Dive into the world of rocket science by launching air-powered rockets and learning about the principles of flight.
- Virtual Reality Space Tours: Take a breathtaking journey through space with immersive VR technology.
- Space Slime Making: Craft your own galactic slime in a workshop that’s sure to be a hit with kids.
- Face Painting: Transform into your favorite celestial body with space-themed face painting.
- Solar Observation: Safely observe the sun through special telescopes, guided by expert astronomers ready to answer all your burning questions.
- Talks from Rocket Scientists: Gain insight into careers in space from Rocket Scientist and Space Engineer, Dr. Matt Richardson.
