The Goodna Jacaranda Festival, a beloved annual community event, is gearing up for its 2024 edition with new opportunities for local businesses.
President Mathew Taylor announced the addition of Kate Miller from Lo Key Agency as the Event Manager, bringing fresh energy and expertise to the festival.
“The Goodna Jacaranda Festival is run by volunteers, so sponsorships are crucial to keep the festival going strong,” Mathew said.
“We have a three-day event planned at Evan Marginson Park, featuring a talent quest, a dancing competition, a school competition, and a battle of the bands on stage over the weekend.”
After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival made a triumphant return in 2023.
Mathew is optimistic about the future, expecting even higher attendance this year.
“I’m expecting this year, now that we’ve reignited the community and everyone knows we’re back and this is their festival,” he said.
“I think more people will come this year than last year, simply because more people will know about it.”
Sponsorships play a vital role in the festival’s success, and this year, a new ‘Purple Ticket’ Sponsorship category has been introduced.
For an investment of $500, 50 local businesses can access a range of advertising opportunities.
“It’s designed for local small businesses who don’t have a massive marketing budget to be able to get involved and put their name on a table,” Mathew said.
“In return, they get recognition and support from the community. It’s a mutual support system – support your local festival that supports you.”
